I currently have to make payments of about 900 a month on private and i have to make about 160 on federal, my interest rates are at 8.8 and 9.9 on my private loans, i have no consolodated my loans for the reason that i would rather try to pay them off one loan at a time, thus causing my payment to decrease over time, but i do not k now if this is a good idea. I have thought about consolodating but my payments do not drecrease at all, this is what one company told me i.e.Sallie Mae. I was wondering what can i do to maybe get my interest rate lower and a good company to consolidate all of these private loans into one lower payment. i do not want to be paying these loans for the rest of my life and would like savin for a house really soon. i currently only make about 37000 a year makes paying them off quickly difficult. thank you ahead of time for any answers.

I would suggest getting a second job, saving every penny, cutting expenses to the bone and paying down the loans steadily. There is no quick fix or magical way out of the debts.

Man you need to work another job or something. You need to forget about that house and pay of this debt. That is a lot of money to spend on school only to get a job that pays 37k a year. There is almost no way you can manage that debt unless you live at home and pay no rent.
