I applied for a loan to purchase a house and my mortgage broker gave me a good faith estimate for tax related service fee and credit report. My loan got approved, but I decided to go with another lender because I got a good rate there. This lender wants me to pay the tax related service fee also along with the credit report fee. Am I required to pay this fee even though I do not take a loan with this lender?

Did you sign a document where you agreed to pay him regardless of if the loan closes with him? The Good Faith Estimate is not a promise to pay. If you did not sign any agreement you owe him nothing.
