If this is a first time job or a job in a new field, then you need to wait for 12 months or even longer to show stability.
If your new job is within the same field as your last (ie nurse) and you were changing hospitals for more pay, then don't worry about it.
Does it matter how long you've been working when you apply for a home loan?Work history is generally 2yrs. That 2yrs. includes previous jobs or any education/ training for the job you are on. (there are exceptions for the 2yrs on a case by case basis.)
If the loan you are applying for is an FHA "same line of work" is not an issue; continuity counts.
If the new job is 25% or more commission pay you are considered self-employed and a 2yr average of your current job's income is required.
