I would like some information on the best way to get approved for a mortgage loan for out of state. My fiance and I have fair -poor credit ... middle scores 590 but really good income and have been fixing our credit recently. I found a house for us that is very cheap out of state and would like to buy it. He plans to stay in our state and work for awhile until he can relocate. Is there anywhere I can apply for an out of state mortgage loan for people with ok credit ? Im worried if I submit applications to a bunch of places that that will make our scores go even lower. With his income however there would be no problem paying this mortgage because the house is only 60K and he make over that annually and so do i. Any suggestions?
Need info on Mortgage loan for out of state and ok credit?I won't try to sell you anything:
Answer 1) Being out of state will not effect your mortgage at all. you just need to get a loan with either a local bank or credit union in the area you are moving to or a nationwide lender.
Answer 2) Getting a mortgage for low to mid credit is not a problem.. how much you will pay will be, so always shop around for rates.
Answer 3) yes submitting applications to places will lower your score a bit, I would start slow and tell the lenders your story, since you know your score, they should be able to tell you the ball park rate over the phone, you should talk to them before submitting a application to find out if the rate is reasonable.
