Last year 2-12-07 my car loan company charged my checking account three times because my January payment was mailed lated and at the same time the automatic dratf to the account had came throught to hit the account on the same time as the January payment. Causing three payment to post to the account threrfore causing the account to go into overdraft. The bank and myself tryed very hard to work with themby faxing information to their investigation department hoping to get the fees back that caused the overdraft, but to no avail. I have been going back and forth with them for the last 11 months. Each time I speak to them about my account being late they tell me, yes they see where this problem occurted but they have to go back an reinvestgated it. Until than they will not pay. My checking account has been over drawn every sents than. I'm on a fixed income through my Social Sercurty Disabilty and don't have any extra money to cover the fees to my account.

That way, if you ever do overdraft your account, it covers it for a nominal fee compared to that of one without the protection. Ask your bank if they have it available. By the way, if it is an error made by your car loan company, you need to push hard to have THEM pay the fees since they made the error, not you. But it sounds like it happened because you had a late payment.
