Once you find 10-50 items that look great, wear great, & feel great you are ready to test bigger waters - the internet. Get an attractive manikin to display clothing on for pictures you will post on the web. Sell them on Ebay or any other auction site. Marketing is the key here - sell them as from the "newest collection by (whatever you are going to name your company)". Look at other designer clothing ads for key phrases that intice you to buy/want their clothing. Words like "trendy", "fresh new look", "up and coming", etc...
During this time of production and test marketing DO YOUR RESEARCH and ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS! Talk with a business tax accountant about how to go about creating a legal company (if you are going to have a clothing store you must be licensed and pay taxes). Talk with banks and your local "Small Business Administration" about how to get a business loan (you'll need someone, maybe a parent, with collateral and good credit to co-sign on a loan). There are no business grants for this type of business so don't even try. Talk with business owners and ask them how they started, what they did, and what mistakes to avoid. Do internet searches for clothing manufacturers. There are some great US companies that you might want to visit and talk with them about how they chose their clients, what they charge, etc... Do searches for biographies of famous designers to see how they got started in the business. I just saw a young man, famous clothing designer, interviewed on t.v. the other day... I think they said he was 19yrs old???
You CAN do this if you have a STRONG work ethic and the drive to succeed. It will not be easy and it will not happen overnight. Don't let anyone tell you you can't. Ignore those people and find someone else who will help you and encourage you.
