I'm not sure how this happened but my X boyfriend admitted to searching for information on me online and now for the past year I have been receiving pre-approved cc's and mortgage loans with his name at my address.
Last time I lived with him was over 7yrs ago and I just recently purchased this home.
He had such bad credit his mother had to finance his vehicle. It seems he has somehow attachted himself to the ownership of my house? How else would he be getting credit offers "thrown" at him all of a sudden?
He claims he did nothing.
Any ideas on what he did online to have all these offers coming to my house?
Is this some kind of fraud?Check all your credit cards and your accounts. Check your credit rating. Advise your bank about what is happening. Respond to all these offers by letting them know that there is no such person at this address and that someone is using your address without your permission.
Is this some kind of fraud?Go and immediately get your credit score and information about your credit. If he has done anything without your consent, take any evidence you get from the credit agency to the police. He may be using your identity to get credit, and possibly frauding other companies with your name attached to his. Be careful and get this looked at right away!
