Hard to get feedback from Yahoo!.
If you check/change the country in your account info, it should fix the problem in your email box.
If you change your home page to Yahoo!, it should fix same.
I hope following instructions will help.

CHANGE COUNTRY IN ACCOUNT INFO
>click on 'My Account' ( top center, small blue letters, on most Yahoo! Services pages)
Example: [Sign Out, My Account]
>enter your password
>scroll down to 'Address/Contact Information'
>click 'Edit'
In 'Home Information' section>
*Use the scroll down button on this box. Be sure to left click on on the outside of the box after your selection to clear the scroll wheel on your mouse. Otherwise you will inadvertently select the wrong country.
>highlight your country - 'Country or Territory: [Your Country]' (after selection, left click outside selection area to clear scroll wheel)
>scroll up to top and click 'Finished'
If everything looks OK>
>scroll up to and click on the 'Finished' button
