I've wanted to go to law school since I was 10 years old. After I received my undergrad, I didn't go because I was waist-high in student loans and honestly, my grades weren't all that stellar. Plus, the nearest law school is about four to five hours away and moving wasn't, and isn't, an option.
I've been researching online/correspondence law schools, and they seem to be a good option. However, California is the only state that allows these types of graduates to sit for the bar. Once a graduate becomes licensed in California they may become eligible to take the bar exam in other states - then again, they may not. Basically, the accreditation for online law schools could change in five years - then again, it may never change.
Going to law school has always been my dream - I am in love with the legal field and I enjoy reading about court cases.
Would online law school be worth it? What are some other jobs someone who has graduated law school, but not passed the bar have?
Thanks!
Would you go to college knowing you couldn't get a job afterwards? If you live in California, go for it! If not and you really can't possibly move, you might want to go for it anyway. Furthering your education is never a waste and it's something you've always wanted. I don't know about other jobs, but I'm sure there are some. It would make you valuable to any company. I would google careers in law and see what comes up.
