I can't afford to get it out! It's an automatic $500 impound fee plus all the towing and storage fees!! I have insurance but I didn't have the card with me because I just moved and all my important papers that were in my car were brought in the house. I didn't even notice that it wasn't in there until then. I have no idea what to do from here! Living paycheck to paycheck isn't even the word for how we live! Also it's a car I bought from a dealer so I have a payment due on it every 2 weeks!! I'm so lost... I have horrrriiible credit so I can't take out a loan and I'm already in head over heels with a payday loan!! Is there a way to say the wrongfully impounded me or something because I DO have insurance the guy was just being an ***!! He's notorius around here for it! Please help!! I don't think I can even try to get it out! Should I call the dealer?? Oh goodness I'm losing it, someone please help!!!

In eastern Canada, you have 24 hours to prove you have insurance before they will take your car. Did you talk to the police department? Ask how it works with them. Be polite, and courteous above all else when dealing with officers.
