Don't worry about staying where you are, you obviously can't afford it. Instead, start packing and calling around to find the cheapest storage company you can. Pay to have your possessions stored for the time being and go to your local Salvation Army or YMCA or other organization that you can sleep nights at. You will be able to save the money you were wasting on an overpriced apartment and afford the security deposit on a new, very moderately priced place. If you won't stay at a shelter, you can also rent a VERY cheap room at a hotel. It will be hard, but you will survive if you realize nothing is beneath you when you want to reach your goals.
