I've been hearing about the 'economic stimulus package' in the news lately...President Bush apparently has a plan and so does Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. They said that President Bush was going to show his stimulus package to congress today. I have not heard when Harry Reid is going to show his.
If anybody knows, which one do you think is better, and why?

Personally, I think it's a lot of crap, smoke and mirrors to buy votes. They 'give' us our own money now, so things can be bought (and sales taxes collected), and then they tax it, take it all back at the end of the year. So it's kind of like getting a loan from one of those 'payday loans' places...except that they're 'giving' your own money back to you (assuming that you pay taxes).

Which one is better (and why)?A family with a $50,000 a year income is loosing about a 3rd of it to high prices! This 3rd of their income would be saved, normally.
The government is run by the corporations, who buy votes so that they have no regulation or price caps. The lawmakers get rich off the corporations.
The government collects more tax dollars fom the corporations, not with higher tax percentages, but in more dollars from the additional profits made.
