I have a credit card from BOA which is 28% interest!! The good news is that it is paid off now, finally! Now I have $4000 available credit.
I have never been late with a payment, EVER, and the only bad thing on my credit report is a loan I co-signed for a relative 5 years ago.
How can I get my interest rate lowered?? I have called 3 times and they say that cannot lower it. Yet I hear from so many others all it takes is a quick call. I would be happy with 17% even. My Discover card is 13% so I do not know why they are screwing me that high.

Open a savings account and put a specified amount in it every month (even $20 or $30). Apply at your bank for a credit card if you need one. They often give customers a break on the interest rate. Keep your credit limit low on the card and pay it off every month. Also, write a letter to BOA and cancel the card you paid off. If you dont, it will stay on your credit record as an inactive account. This could hurt your credit down the road. Remember cash is king. Good luck.
