As a benefit for making my first student loan payment on time I received a MasterCard with some money on it. The front of the card says "Debit" but they tell you you have to use it as a credit card, so I guess it's more of a gift card of sorts. The card expires relatively quick (one year), and they take all kinds of liberties if you don't get the money off in the exact amount they gave you in that time.
... So what I want to do is transfer the money off right away in the exact amount. Then I know I have it off of there and I'm not going to be sucked into a credit card agreement that charges for everything under the sun.
How would you recommend doing that? I know I can't transfer money to Paypal from a credit card (darn it), I also know that my checking account won't take monies from credit cards outside of their own. Is there another way that you would suggest to pull this off without paying a percentage to do it?
How can I transfer money from debit /credit / gift card to bank account or paypal?Credit card balance transfer is one of the preferred ways to get rid of credit card debt and is used by many people to get immediate relief. Credit card balance transfer essentially means that we transfer our outstanding balances from a high APR credit card to a credit card which offers low APR's. A 0% Intro APR credit card is the preferred credit card to transfer balances, but because of the widespread misuse of such credit card offers, credit card companies have withdrawn all such offers.
