I'm in my second year of college. I transferred this year to a cheaper university however I am still being charged for five thousand dollars from my previous school because I didnt do a total withdrawal from the university. i have a twenty thousand dollar loan out for that school and a ten thousand dollar loan for this one. and now i have this new charge.
i am strongly considering not returning in the spring for just a semester in order to work. i cant work at the school im currently at because i have no car and its very rural here. i have tried work study and i still have not been awarded. my parents are complaining and im sick of it honestly and the quicker i can get out of being dependent on them THE BETTER I WILL FEEL.
i am a determined person so I will return to school, but is it a good idea to sacrifice this semester to work and get my life together before returning.
Stay or go?If you are going to still be charged, you need to get the education you are paying for. By not going, it seems you will lose more since you have committed yourself to both colleges. I hope there is a way of getting out of at least one. At the same time, it doesn't seem like your head is in it due to personal issues. If you stay, will you be able to focus? You want the best grades you can possibly get. I don't know how bad your situation is with your folks, but parents, no matter where you are, are going to say what they have to say. Jobs can be stressful as well. You don't want to waste any time when you could be moving forward. I suggest toughing it out. If you are going to work, you want to maximize your dollars earned. To do that, you need to finish school. I hope this helps at least a little.
