I have a 3/4 inch garden hose connected to my city water supply, which is approximately 80psi. What is the resulting flow rate from the hose in gallons per minute?
Flow rate of garden hose? The above answers all assume that there is no restriction in the supply pipe going to the hose. In reality, a 3/4" garden hose will typically have around 10 GPM flow rate. That is the practical rate, not theoretical rate.
Remember, if you are looking at a realistic situation, you probably have 50-100 ft of 3/4" pipe between the water main and the hose. You have pipe bends, maybe a pressure regulator, and restrictions through the faucet valve and hose fittings. All this adds up to the theoretical capacity of the hose being a rather meaningless number.
If you really want to know, just get a 5 Gal bucket and turn on the hose full blast and test what your flow rate is.

Flow rate depends on the friction inside the hose.
Flow rate of garden hose?20-25 gpm, based on a rubber hose at about 50 feet long with a hand held spray nozzle attached.
The straighter the run the closer to the 25 gpm you will get.
This is also assuming 80 psi and your hose bibb where you attach the hose.
There will be some looses from the city water connection, thru the water meter, thru your the plumbing to get to the hose bibb.
