Is it a better idea to pay off your student loan with ridiculous interest to a collections agency, or to get a loan from the bank and make bank payments instead? Will this help with credit rebuilding?

Me personally, I would go with a bank or credit union. Paying it off, you know it will help your credit. The most important thing is to do your homework on interest rates. I just don't trust the companies on tv advertisements.
