I am sensible, 2 of my girls went to uni and paid for all of it by WORKING THEIR BUTTS OFF in their spare time, never going pubs etc, cooking cheap but wholesome meals, they had debt but not anything like this guy!! My girls did tell me lots of stories about their mates who got loads of debt though,,,, thet were the ones out drinking on borrowed money...get a life..get a part time job...

He might be able to receive assistance from his home university (if he's a foreign exchange student). Typically, fin/aid is not available to non-residents of any country, so his best bet is to try to be financed by his own.
