YOU HAVE TO STUDY, the aid package you got, is the same, it doen't matter where you attend, so if I where you I would go to a college that is cheaper tha the one you are applying, so with the same money you can do more.

Your father makes good money, he can be your co'signer in a loan...Why can't he? Citibank is a good option for you.

If you got a stafford loan, then you got a financial aid package somewhere along the line. Go to the financial aid office and ask for a student loan request form, or find it online. you can take out more loan money if you havent maxed it out, check subsidized and unsubsidized. Work studies can also be very beneficial because on campus employers have to work with your schedule and stuff, and often you only have to work like, 10 hours a week.
